T Jay-isms

TJay's thoughts on eating with your mouth open: "If you are chewing with your mouth open, you have to tilt your head all of the way back so that people can't see the food in your mouth. Unless they put a stool on the table and that would be a bad idea."

T Jay's thoughts on sharing: Jess tried to take a drink of my water at lunch so I pulled it back out of his hands. T Jay said, "Don't fight over the water" to which I replied, "Yeah, don't fight over the water!". Then T Jay looked at me with the sweetest look ever and said, "Momma, you should share your water." Don't you hate it when the good manners you have taught your kids come back to bite you!

"Ali's pool party was AWESOME!!!"

T Jay and Summer were invited to their friend, Ali's, birthday party. They had a great time playing in the water. T Jay liked the water guns and wanted nothing to do with the slides. I sent him down once thinking he would see how much fun it was and love it, but that is not what happened. He didn't like the darkness of the tube slide and came out crying!
Summer carried this around during the entire party! She loves water play, but had to take a few breaks to warm up. She kept convulsing she would get so cold!
Matthew in his swim suit. I put his toes in the water, and he didn't mind it. He just likes to have someone to flirt with!

Baking a cake

We had to opt for baking a cake today since the weather was pretty cold. We tried the park and bike/scooter riding, but it was just too chilly and windy.
This is Matthew's spectator chair. He gets to watch all of the action from here. We can't wait until he can join in on the fun!

Blowing the special away!

We were sitting at the table eating lunch and talking about the weather. We were commenting on how chilly it was today. T Jay piped in with " I thought it was supposed to be spring now!" I had to try and explain the unpredictability of the weather. He got sad and said, "I wanted today to be special, but the wind is blowing the special away!" Cute!

6:00 in the morning

Summer has obtained a new habit. When she wakes up, usually around 6am, she comes downstairs and then brings us the stuff that she wants while we are in our bed. Today it was the bottle of Hershey's syrup followed by the milk and a sippee cup. We don't even have to get out of bed! It's pretty funny. She is getting more and more independent every day.
Yesterday was another beautiful day. We went for a walk, and to the park. I forgot to take the camera, so no pics, but I will try to get some today. Matthew loved riding in the baby swing. He is really enjoying this new outdoors thing.

"Hiking" at the park.

Yesterday it was 70 degrees here! Along with that, we had gale force wind! We decided it would be fun to go hiking and have a picnic. Since everything is in the melting process, and therefore very muddy, we decided to go "hike" at the park in town that has a paved walking path. We also did our "picnic" inside KFC instead of at the park because of the wind. It was a lot of fun, and great to have Dad with us! In this picture, Summer got shifted from Dad's shoulders to the stroller so Dad could carry a tired T Jay. This was Matthew's first time getting to "see" outside. He has always been covered up with blankets on our dashes to the car. He LOVED it!
Tired T Jay taking advantage of the Daddy ride.

T. Jay debating a puddle jump. We caught him on this one and prevented it, be he did manage a very wet puddle jump later in the walk! Sneaky sneakerton!

Cleaning out the garage

When Jess went outside yesterday, it was so nice and the wind was blowing right through our garage. He took that opportunity to blow all of the winter snow dirt out if the garage. Our garage was starting to look like a sand box around where I was parking! It is so nice and clean now and the kids loved "working" with Dad!
