Memorial Day

Jess had the day off, so we headed over to the fountains to show him one of our favorite places to play. They always have a blast playing in the water here and it's right on the river, so it's so relaxing to sit and watch the water and feel the breeze. I love it!
Matthew was a little timid (odd, I know) so Jess held him over the water and let his feet feel the water. He loved it so Jess gradually lowered him down as the water pressure decreased so that he could play in it...
The pressure came right back up and he got a massive face full of water. After that, he was pretty much done! I would have been, too.

Hide And Seek

As a child, my favorite game to play with my four brothers was hide and seek. We played it all of the time and had hiding places at the top of closets, on top of a door (good balance was a must) and in any cupboard or closet imaginable. We even graduated to hide and seek in the dark as we got better at finding each other! Some of my favorite memories, really. My kids have now discovered this fun game and we spent a good part of Sunday evening playing this. One of T Jay's hiding spots. Matthew kind of gave him away by pointing at him and squealing!
Summer opted for T Jay's favorite spot under the bathroom cabinet! Too fun.

Different Kinds of Rain.

On Friday, we got a nice Florida thunderstorm. I sent T. Jay upstairs for shoes so he could go and get a haircut with Jess. He came back in his rain boots and winter coat. It took me some time to convince him that even though it was raining, it was a warm rain. Very different from North Dakota rainstorms, which are pretty cold!

Fun In Jacksonville

T Jay and Summer had a great time riding these bumper cars and playing the arcade games at Ollie Koala's backyard while we were in Jacksonville.
This is the fun park that we went to! We had a picnic lunch and the kids were able to get most of their wiggles out before we headed home.
Happy, her daughter Teya, and me. By the way, this was one of the more humid days we have experienced thus far! I know, it's only going to get hotter!
