Lexi's Pink Party

All Lexi wanted for her Birthday was a pink party and a pink present. So, this is what she woke up to on her Birthday! Can I just say how much I love pink tulle.I made her pink pancakes for breakfast. It was really funny to watch her take in all of the birthday happenings. This is the first year that she began to understand what Birthdays are all about. She had a smile creeping onto her face as she experienced each aspect of the celebration.
We had a park picnic with two of her little friends. It was really cold and windy, so we retreated to our house.
They had a great time jumping in the bounce house. Cute, cute girls! Oh, and Matthew, he's cute, too. Of course!
Speaking of cute! Simon really wanted to get in there and jump, too.
Three!
Lexi with her pink castle cake. Summer helped by frosting the spires! She is an awesome cake decorating helper! This is the third castle cake I have made. Summer and T.Jay have also requested castles.
Please can it be my birthday, too, Mom?!!
Summer loves to read to the little kids! I love it, too. Lexi had several new books to read for bedtime!

My little dolly is 3!

We are celebrating Lexi Lulu today! She was very excited to have so much attention. She loved the idea of presents. Her three favorite things are:
1. Baby dolls
2. Pink
3. Books
And just so you know, she'd give up all three in a heartbeat to be with her Daddy!

Montery Bay Aquarium

Two weeks ago, we took a trip to Monterey. We went to the aquarium, ate fish and played at the beach! Unfortunately, we started the trip by being rear-ended. Luckily, we were all safe, and the car was drivable, so we were able to continue on our trip, even though our car was crunched.
Monterey was awesome! I love the history of the town, and the aquarium was really fun and educational. We're now proud season pass holders. It's funny, it's only a little bit more to buy a season pass than it is just to pay for seven of us to get in once!
After the aquarium, we went to the beach and the children had a blast looking through the tide pools and finding the same creatures they saw in the aquarium. They also got to climb around on the rock formations by the beach. It was a fabulous weekend. Much-needed since Jess has been so busy with his project at work. If you haven't been and have the chance, I would definitely recommend it!
